The BOA National Conference came to a close on Friday 14th September 2012 having proven to be yet another successful event for the Symbios company. As always, much interest in HipPlan was evident, orthopaedic consultants expressing their enthusiasm for the recent software upgrade and the means to accurately reference the positioning of the acetabular component- a real advance in this technology and the view that acetabular component positioning is key to optimised and successful outcomes in Total Hip Replacement.

This event was also marked by the publication of the National Joint Registry 9th Annual Report 2012 including surgical data to 31st December 2011, in which time the registry noted that the revision rates for Symbios THR components was <1%
