Active granddad Colin Chilton loved nothing more than a game of golf or a long walk before he was struck down by arthritis in both hips. The 65-year-old spent the next six months in agony,  nable to sleep for more than an hour at a time. But thanks to pioneering surgery at a Rugby ospital he now has a new hip and a brighter looking future. Surgeons used a tailor-made hip joint made in Switzerland and special tools to make sure it was perfectly lined up – the first time this has been done anywhere in Europe.
