The 3rd HipPlan User Group Meeting, held at the Grand Hotel Les Bains, Yverdon and at the manufacturing facilities of Symbios Orthopedie SA, was described by the convenors as “the best yet”, despite the massive upheaval to the travel plans of many returning delegates into Heathrow Airport due to pretty impressive snow falls by UK standards. It was very much a case of rail, road, sea and air in order to get all returning delegates safely back into the UK to their respective families, friends and clinical commitments!

With an impressive faculty including Mr Richard King, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the UHCW Hospital, Coventry, seen here mediating the afternoon workshop session, and Dr Hedi El Sariali, Orthopaedic Specialist at the Petie Salpetriere Hospital, Paris, the delegates were challenged to pre- operatively plan a number of complex Total Hip Reconstructions using the very latest HipPLAN software release.

The latest release, HipPLAN 2.2 was described as “the most intuitive yet” by CEO M. Jean Ple. Our sincere thanks also go to David Petter, Philippe Chavanne and Aarati Chakoo who added their expertise to the proceedings from a Software Engineers perspective.
